The best time to visit the island for a kite surfing holiday is between May and October, the winter, because of the windy conditions and the combination of heavy waves, and flat lagoon waters.
There’s also Manawa reef for surfers to explore, it’s only 800m off shore, but the swells can range between 1 – 8m in the right conditions, making it an essential wave for experienced surfers.
