Tanzanian Khanga

The kanga (or khanga) is a traditional cotton cloth worn by African women mainly by women in Tanzania and East Africa. 

Khanga is the Swahili word for guinea fowl and is bright, colourful and light.

The khanga fabric is used to make colourful clothes similar to kitenge, worn by women and occasionally by men throughout the East African region.
